Nickolas Rossi is a NYC based director of photography.

Nickolas Rossi was born in Chicago, Illinois. He attended Columbia College Chicago for fine art photography and graduated from Portland State University. Following university he lived and worked in Montréal, London, Prague and Los Angeles.

His feature narrative work includes "New Terminal Hotel" with Stephen Geoffreys ("Fright Night"), and Corey Haim ("Lost Boys"), and "Breath of Hate" with Jason Mewes ("Clerks") and Ezra Buzzington ("The Hills Have Eyes").

His documentary film work includes the award winning "Incest: A Family Tragedy" and "Adjust Your Color: The Truth of Petey Greene". He recently photographed the feature documentary, "The Power of Two", (GoDigital), the directorial debut of Academy Award® nominated producer, Marc Smolowitz, a film that has screened in 30+ film festivals on three continents and won 10 film festival awards. He was also a cinematographer on Smolowitz’s award winning compilation “Still Around” (Outcast) about HIV/AIDS.

As a cinematographer he has worked extensively across the United States & Canada, Asia, Europe and Mexico. His work has screened in numerous film festivals across the globe, as well as PBS Independent Lens, CNN, MTV/LOGO and Fuel TV.

His commercial work includes such clients as Michael Kors, Deutsche Bank, Nemours Children's Hospital, Brides Magazine, and XO Jane.

He is represented by The Right Eye Agency in New York City. His first feature documentary as a director, “Heaven Adores You,” about the influence of musician Elliott Smith is currently in production
